Fin for SB F160

Hi guys,

I am sailing my Starboard F160 with an NP RS6 10.7. I am using the standard fin for mild conditions which works oke. For stronger winds I would like to buy a debocihet R13 66M. Is this a good choice for this board?

Hi Meindert,

I pratice with a friend who have exactly the same weight as you, but he neve use smaller fin on this board.

The R13 medium rake + 6 cm must be good for you until 25 knots or more depend of your level. The soft one can be also a good solution.

Julien Quentel 80kgs was using the soft one all the year in all condition.

Just to be clear, you are suggesting a deboichet R13M 70cm??? What does rake + 6cm exactly mean?

Maybe this topic slipped by you, but still don't know if you are talking about the 70cm fin or the 66? And what does rake +6 mean??

Hi Meindert,

This coresponding to the angle of the fin, more rake give you more power for the same fin. Between light racers and heavy you have most of the time is like this (+6cm for light racers and +8cm for heavy racers)
