Hi
I regularly do windsurf in winter when the water temperature is about 3-5 C. I noticed some burst on the bottom gelcoat. (wood) Had anybody such experience? |

Nope..
I'we done winter windsurfing in Denmark (temperatures around zero) on wooe boards for years and didn't have such experience. 3-5 C is not freezing and shouldn't affect the laminate. Anyway air temperatures below zero can teoretically give problems if the laminate contains a little water and the board stays in the low temperature for longer periods.. |

thanks, I will get a new gelcoat from the authorized dealer, I ask him to put regular thickness instead of the "limited finish" thin layer.
