With the growth recreational GPS getting popular, its real easy to check out loads of different aspects of a session. I dont normally pay to much attention to distance travelled as average speed over 500m is usually my first thought when down loading data. I'v just downloaded a light wind formula session onto GPS Speedsurfing.com and was amazed to see that I'd done 87 km (about 45 miles I think). Also noticed that my 1-year old Garmin has done over 2000 km, thats like sailing in a straight line from the UK to Southern Spain!!!
What distances are you travelling during a typical session? Cheers

25 to 35 nautical miles typically..
I used to do +1500 nm. a year. Too busy these days though. As a comparison my wife and I sail a lot in our sail boat and this gives + 1000 miles a year. A sailboat is slow compared to a windsurferB) |

To expand the question. What do you find you do per hour on average?
I've noticed on my local lake, I usually hit 10-15 miles per hour. So, if I sail for a few hours, I end up with 30-40 miles.
