Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone would like to share their view on the importance of fitness training as preparation for the formula windsurfing season. Are there any specific muscles that needs extra focus and what is the recommended mix between arobic and fitness for an intermediate FW sailor? Thank you. |

fitness training is a must. without it yuo can't get sail out of water
check exocet-original.com website they has online "Newspaper" in left upper angle of the site. several editions ( 16th for example) of that "Newspaper" has articles of Andrej Kocjan about fitness training for windsurfers. |

The last year winter at the begining I did 2 months strength training (series of 3-4 x 10-12) and later 2 moths more cardio with more endurance training (3 x 15 and more).
Winter traininng I use for rebuilding balance between muscles that work on FW and opposite muscles. Also now I pay more attention to calf and interribs for more control in heavy conditions. I'm weekend FW racer. |
