Hi everybody,
I've got iS101 and Loft Blade 6.2 and I want to add a smaller board and a bigger sail to my materials. I bought Blade 7.0 (gonna use it with 101). I am 77 kg and 187 cm and I'm still growing So which board would be better for my 6.2 sail? iS 90 or iS 87?. I think I will use it +20 knt. Thanks, Emir |

Hi Emir,
You have to think seriously at the 80, it will give you great performances with more control than the 90 & 87. Anyway if you have to choose between 2 boards that will be the 87 & 80. All the best

Thanks Remi for your help. But a friend of mine(also a racer) said me that if you use a board like 80 or 87, and if the wind stops during the race, the 80 or 87 won't be the one. He said me that I couldn't take the risk in the race. He also said that I am 16 years old so I will grow and put on weight so 87 or 80 will cause a problem. He said 90 is the one.
Thanks, Emir |

+ The 90 woodcarbon is lighter than the 87 wood so it is an advantage isn't it?

I think getting a iS90 to go with your iS101 is not good advice, not a real gap between the two boards. Would not make sense to go iS101 & iS90. Please, please do not waste your money on bad combo
![]() iS90: Wind & sea gets big, you will be last in race because no control = no speed ![]() If you had a iS111/107, then yes the iS90 would good. If you really worry about wind going, then the iS87 will be safe bet than iS80 (but I think Remi is right, iS80 best for you). For a 87 litre board, it is pretty big board. It has a powerfull tail and it will take up to a 38cm fin if the winds are marginal to keep you powered up so do not worry that this board is too small, but if its marginal, you will be on your iS101. iS87: Wind & sea picks up, you at front of the pack because good control = fast speed ![]() The lighter iS90 carbon will still much feel bigger than the heavier iS87 wood for sure. Were do you race? Hope that makes sense

Thanks a lot Mark
Last year I decided to buy iS87 but I am 16 years old and I'm still putting on weight. So if I came up with like 80 kgs to the summer, will that cause a problem?I'm not a racer yet this year. I will race in Turkish windsurf races this year. And there is something I'd like to ask: Is there a lot difference between the iS87 & iS90? Thanks. Emir |

Hi Emir,
I am 93 kgs and prefer the 80 over the 90, so you are really far to this weight. I am using 7.0, 6.2 and 5.6 on this board and on each sail this board is a rocket with a lot of control ![]() For your information Steve Allen 80 kgs choose the 80 for the 2011 season and Cyril Moussilmani the 87 at 96 kgs. The 90 is basically a small 97 and this board is really far to close to your 101. Need to have a bigger gap. Hope this help All the best
