2003 Evo 80 as high wind board?

One of these came up for sale locally. I'm 74 kg, looking for a cheap high wind board for 4.2 to 5.0 conditions, chop, bump and jump, haven't tried true wave sailing.

I know the Evo is a wave board, but I don't know how much Vee this has ie will it be able to handle chop, bump/jump, high wind. Starboard archives are down for 2003 year so can't look up any info. Don't get to sail 4.2 or 5.0 conditions very often, so this is just for those rare days just so I can get out.

If I remember well, the Acid was a far better option for Hi-wind B&J. But you'd rather ask Jean-Marc on the French Forum. In similar conditions I'm using an old Tiga Wave 257 which does the job very well. However sails under 5.0 do not get out quite often those days.

I think the Acid 80 liters is a better choise. And the best one is the board from 2006. Its a bit faster than the older acids but still has the positive wave perfomans. From the beginning it was designed more for a "down the line board", but with the time it showed that it is exellent for onshore sailing.
I bought a brand new acid 80 (2006) last year. I live in Sweden with strong winds and chop/bump and jump waves (0,5-2 meters).And if you can find one, then it will be cheap as it is an old model.

I have an old evo (2003 or 2004) and use it for wave sailing and the conditions you describe. It´s not very fast for sure but i really enjoy riding it, so if you can get get it cheap wich i´m assuming than i would go for it!
