Futura 141 (2011) vs 144 (2008)

Hi,

I own a Futura 144 (2008), width 77,5 cm. in technora. Like the board very much, often in medium windrange 4-5 Bft, sailing 9.2-7.8 rs:slalom (no problem, my weight is app. 95 kg.). Maybe I chance my board for a Futura 141 (2011 or 2010), probable in wood. Does anyone know the differences 2008 vs. 2011 or 2010 ? The new boards are 80,5 cm. width, so 3 cm. more then my 2008 board. What about (top) speed, control and planing ? I haven't seen any tests of the Futura 141 so far. Thanks for reply.

Still a few questions :

Has anyone experience with the 2011 Futura 141 ? Is the board much faster of earlier planing ? Does anyone know of test-results (for exemple in magazines) ?

Hi Robert,

Compare to your board their is quiet big improvement particularly in planning, acceleration and top end speed. Also the board is more easy and more comfortable. Your sails will be perfect on it to get the best from this board.

Hi Remi,

Good to hear the new futura 141 is faster and easier to control, I consider when to replace my old (and still fast) futura (fist saving some money

, also wood version instead technora). Test in magazines will show how good the new board is versus the other brands, I look forward to it.
