got the chance to see the IS 2012 brochure.
Main datas seem the same as 2011.Basically you've narrowed the tail section (0-30 cm),thinned the nose rails, reshaped the cut outs. In the 117w you've introduced the heel-extension:what's for? Did you need more power for very light wind or what? Also this board is 0,5 wider mantaining the o.f.o. the same than 2011.Still:why? In the end:what we are going to buy with 2012 IS ? thx |

Hi Seb,
Just see your post. All the change work all together and need time to make them work together, I mean make the board narrow & revise cut aways in the tail have good incidence but bad ones also, so need to revise the thickness in the front of the board to get less lift then you get the perfect balance. All together the performances of the board increase in every sector, Jibbing, exit jibe, Acceleration and top end speed with more control. For the 117 Wide we make it more narrow also in the tail who was already quiet narrow for 2011 and to avoid your feet glide back we make this heel extender and cancel also the tail kick to get even better control in top end. If you have other questions, they are welcome All the best
