Hello!
Two weeks ago my IS 131 was damaged. So it´s time to buy a new one. I want to know what are the differnecies between IS 127 and IS 137. My bodyweight ist 95 kg. With the IS 131 I used Severne Reflex I 9,6 and 8,6, once also 7,8. My next smaller board ist the IS 111 (2010). I use the IS usually on the lake.Twice a year I take part in competition. In the future maybe more often. What about the fins, upwind-characteristics, planing. Thank you for answering. Walter |

Hi Walter,
This 2 board are very similar but recommend the 137 for heavy racers who want to play in the very light winds under the PWA rules limitation (85cm Wide) Note that even Bjorn is using the 127 at 103 kgs but also in PWA they race in good conditions. Both board can suit you with the sails you have, but 7.8 is definitely the sail for the iSonic 111/107. The fin that we recommend is the R16 50/48 depend of the sail. All the best

Remi, thank you for your answer.
Which advantages does the IS 127 have? More control if the wind is stronger? Whats about planing and jibing? Walter |

Hi Walter,
The Jibing are more easier due to less thickness compare to 137 and plaining are a bit better on the 137. Control is better on the 127. Hope this help All the best

Hi Walter
We reduce the thickness of the front rails to get better control, change cut aways and now have narrow tail from 30 to 20. All this increase the control in the red zone, make the board easier in jibe and accelerate better. Average speed are more close to top end speed who increase also. Hope this help All the best

Hello Remi!
Thanks, I will exchange my IS 127 (2011) with IS 137 (2012), which should help me to plane earlier (95 kg bodyweight) Walter |
