Can my isonic 121/2010 handle a 9,3 sail?

Hello,

i have a 121 isonic (wood carbon) from 2010.
Can the board handle a 9,3m sail? According to the specs on the website this wouldn't be a problem since the sail range goes up to 9.5for this board, but is this really the case?

Hi Jean

Yes can use it, a bit over the most competitive sail on it, but sure it will work.

Hi Jean,

I use a 8.8 without any problems on my IS122, but I need at least 13-15 knots.
I've also tried my old 9.5 without problems.
If you have to struggle and shlog in too low wind, these kind of sails become rather heavy for the board.
My IS122/2008 has ONLY 114L of volume.
If I remember well, the IS121/2010 has 117L of volume.

Let me ask you something. I have the same is121/2010 and a broken in many places. My friend also. The board is over and can not be repaired, because they always burst at some other place. Do you have problems with your board?

Hi Jean, I have owned an 121 Isonic. I bought a 9.0 for this board, no problems planing. However I found it was a bit more back and forth. The best size for this board I found was the Severne Reflex 8.6.
