Does Starboard use a CAD system for the design of their boards with automated shaping based on the CAD design.

My guess is no.
First, because if they did, they would tell. Second, because of some slight shaping oddities and incongruences that can I notice throughout the range. This, if I am right, makes evident that CAD/CAM are not mandatory to make great boards. |

I think you must be right geo.
What about the design and shaping of starboard's fins .. is this at least done by a CAD program? JP promote the use of CAD for their fins which presumably means they dont use CAD for their boards because they don't promote it. Being an engineer, I guess I like the analytical fundamentals supporting the use of CAD designs & CAM shaping. |
