Default Futura

I don't know if I did something wrong: if it's so, sorry! B)

The meaning of this topic would be discuss about Futura boards when they're out and untill then make nice suppositions!
No pics untill the unveiling day!

So, what do you think it'll be Futura?
A fast carve, a slower s-type, more slalom or freemove feel?
Just hazard...

P.S. I have an S-type and I love it!

I've got an S-type too, a wooden 137, my first shortboard ever, love it, i'll definitely get an other one (115 or 104) in time. Well i hop it'll be more an s-type orented than a carve oriented board, there's already a freeride, the GO, excellent for beginners so i guess they'll point more, in this new project, on speed an acceleration. Besides red is a so coooooooool colour for a board!

On the other hand, wouldn't it be sad to lose the S-type, even if replaced by a better board? I mean there'll be no S on the deck anymore, maybe it would not be red, different graphifcs (loved particularly the 2006 ones), yes i think that it'll be sad

it'll be sad but on the other hand, it'll make picking a board easier for me. I've been doubting wether i should go for carve or s-type and if they merge them into one board i guess i have no choise. Still a sad thing though, the s-types were amazingly impressive.

Presuming it's true (merging Carve and Stype ranges into one), I would like to see how will Futura meet the demands of:

1. easy riding intermediates learning footstraps, carving their first gybes, etc, and
2. racers aiming for PWA superX podiums

Maybe the PWA isn't doing Super X anymore? Does anyone have info on this?

But lots of us want to go fast and jump, spock (or any other cool move), forward and duck-jibe. I do super X all the time everyday I go out (that`s what windsurfing is about to me I don`t have waves nearby) and would like Futura to be an even better at that than S-Type, easy to say hard to do.

Why no more SuperX. For the viewers it's one of the most spectacular events to watch after wave and freestyle. + a large part of the surfing population does it as it's a more freeride generated dicipline

I liked SuperX very much too.. I think it was a great summary of what many people do on their windsurf: I agree with MarcM, many of us blasts around, jibes nice, maybe do some tricks, jumps..
That was exactly superX!!
I think they're not doing anymore for logistical reasons (difficoult to set the course "track", expensive..?), but maybe I'm wrong..

For Futura, I suppose it'be a bit more similar to Carve then to S-type..
Anyway we'll see how would it go on water..

I saw some pics and it really seams nice on the beach!!!

There are many pics of new *board products on other forums, maybe it won't be so bad to let everybody see them here.. (just wondering..)

Boh, since there hadn't been no cons.. here there is in black & white!

If I made something wrong, tell me and I will remove it: if I can put it in colours.. tell me!!!

P.S. Thanks LK
