What do you think the best fin size is for a iSonic 87, a 6.0 and a course slalom race in the gorge. I weigh 135 lbs and am 5'6".

I would second the sizing identified in post 2 above, but I would like to add the Tectonics Goldwing to the list of excellent possibilities. I would suggest going over to the Sailworks facility in Hood River and check them out. Who knows, maybe a demo fin is available.

Take a look at this thread where Ian Fox give some very good answers to this very question.

As Phill104 has so keenly noted from his referenced thread, it's interesting to note the earlier responses to your questions.
Hey, I'm still hanging with Tectonics as a great contender, yet you need to define for yourself whether you want to leverage upwind a bit over downwind. More fin (depending on brand, as Ian noted) might help (but maybe not), but only you can balance your needs. If a classic balance is important, I would look to the Tectonics Goldwing 34 as a great starting point. |

iS87: with my 7,6 I use a 32 and for my 6,6 a 29-30. A 34 is definitly to large and reducing top speed.
