Hi there.
I am one of the first lucky ones to receive a new futura (122, Technora) in Finland. However, being quite new to the sport and the equipment, I'd like to know, whether it is normal that the bottom of the board is not uniformly white. I mean, there are some spots that have a slight greyish tint, and these seem to be a result from the finishing of the bottom form (i.e. sanding or some other technique used). This board is brand spanking new, just unwrapped from a ton of cardboard and bubbled plastic. What would be your thoughts? Cheers all. |

Yeah, from the sound of it, this is the result of the "modern" way of finishing boads with a much thinner color layer. My board looks the same. If you look at a wood version, you will even see the structure of the wood through the color. So, the board is perfectly OK.
