Starboard rider nominated to carry the Olympic Torch
Peru windsurfer Ricardo Cano has been nominated by Lenovo to carry the Olympic torch on its way to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. Ricardo Cano born in Peru, start racing at an international level in 1986 with the Optimist class. A couple of years ago, he won the windsurfing National Championships in Peru and since then he won several important titles in other sailing sports such as the Laser and J/24. Ricardo also a top windsurfer and currently the National Formula Champion in Peru. Also, he is the 2006 vice world Formula Experience Champion an enthusiastic sailor, instructor and father. If you would like to support Ricardo to carry the Olympic torch and represent our sport, please vote for him on the following website before the closing date of 31 October http://olimpiadaslenovo.com/index.php?cc=pe When registering, if you are not from South America, in country option choose "Otro" and in the field DNI just write your ID number. Yeap, fast and nice sail...
but at this time vote for Ricardo...we need to complete more and more votes...the other candidates are of other sports as Running, Sailing, Speed cars and others... but we can win! Ricardo |
