Hello,
I'm currently hesitating between those 2 boards (70 kg, 6,5 + 7,5 mē sails, sailing from 12 to 20 knots). Looking for speed and early planning in flat to mid-choppy conditions. Has anyone tried both? Thx in advance, mat |

Neither board that good with early planing.(Reckon carve of equal volume would be up first)
S type faster top end and handles short chop better. kombat looser; carvier better in swell chop. S type comes into its own when really well powered up. Totally different boards so really hard to compare. |

my recon is you'll be more versitile wit the s-type. also the high volume kombat-aero's of last year were a bit badmouth on this forum if u read on ... The s-types always were speed devils but yeah, u need to power them up. Though i think with the sailrange u have, it'll be pretty good.
cheers
