yo,
I know this isnt a severne website but their sails seem to get discussed here. So riders , what is the best severne for a course board... you know a sail that has the range for a low end punch for railing the board upwind and pointing like mad in light airs, to downhauling it for heavier stuff. I dont want the flat floppy leech that those formula sails have, it might be good for sailing formula "short docks" but no punch for the light stuff. Ideas?? shredulato |

Hi Shred,
Look for a Severne Glide! I have the '07 7.5 m2 and it's pretty awesome, especially on the Serenity (similar to railing upwind on a long board). It can be tuned to be full at the top, or floppy (just add downhaul). I've used the same sail on the Apollo and managed to use the added low end power to get the Apollo going really early for a 7.5 m2. They are making a 8.5 m2 for 2008. Hope this helps, |

I received this week a glide 2008 7.5m² sail from my shop to test the next months (some regional raceboard competition and very low-wind funslaloms).
I'm very curious to try it on my old f2 lightning in comparison with my gun mega-xr 7.4m² and my new server overdrive 8.5m². The thing I already noticed was how light it feels in your hands... Because my weight (+95kg) I will try it first on a 490cm 100% mast instead of the recommended 460cm mast. (more information in dutch on http://www.dailybits.be/item/1075) |

If you want low end punch and tune-ability the Demon C4 does a great job. Ultra light weight too.

Check this out :
http://www.star-board.com/forum/show...8904#post18904 Looks like there is a dedicated Race-Board class sail in 9.5 sqm size available for 2008. I'm sure Rémi can tell us more about that. Cheers ! JM |

Hi Crash,
Well, I used a 65 cm Deboichet Concept, a 40 cm Lessacher Duo Weed, and a 42 cm Tangent Dynamics Reaper Weed. It was really neat to get planing so early on such a light rig. Hope this helps, |
