hi, Im in Maui and I heared that the Ram F8 is faster than the Warp 2008 and the Team Manager of that brand ordered that only three riders could use it. And there are all fighting for that sails. Curious1

I do not know about that, but according to PWA Korea registration. Karin Jaggi have registred RAM in the 3 smallest sizes and Warp as biggest (7,8 i think) and P Diethelm have registred Warp as the 3 biggest and RAM for smallest sail (6,8 i think). Could also be a marketing thing to show that yopu can race the RAM on the highest level.

The Ram is softer then the Warp in rougth conditions.
Easy to use, not shaked => Best performances. But on Flat water, the Warp is probably faster... |

And you cant get the Warp 08 anymore as all sold out. Maybe thats why you see the Ram about.

anyway, I think that it is really good that they use the cheaper RAMīs. that show that you do not need the most expensive gear to compete om the highest level! |

marketing-they could probably sell you 5 meter warp as sideshore wave sail, if they wanted hard enough

I think North under estimated the demand. One production run and now all sold out. Don't think they have plans to make any more. |

No men, I was there when they were testing and I could see the difference from the beach.

I have both. 7.3m2 size and they work similar. Good pull, low center of gravity. Ram is a bit lighter but warp has better stability, hard to explain but the sail just feels smooth, compact and very nicely ballanced. Top end is also better with warp. All said, ram is a perfect sail for all who don't compete but still love going fast without too much hassle. Trim the sail and release your brakes. Easy.
