Isonic 125 and RS Slalom 8.4 - what fin

Last week my drake slalom pro broke, so need to buy a new fin for this combination. Want an upgrade in performance.
Looking for the Tectonics Tomcat 44 - would this work fine or is this fin too stiff?

other suggestions are very welcome, tnx in advantage

Buy canefire 44 from Vector fins. www.vectorfins.com $205.00 it is cheap in comparison with Deboichet or C3 but great performance. Jesper Orth from Starboard used them and he is right there in top of the slalom game.

I have the Tomcat 42 on my IS 111 and love it. A thousand times better than the Drake 38 and 44 that came with the board. Great power and control and doesn't spin out. If you do push hard enough to spin it out, it comes right back without any effort. It has more foil than the Drake and may be a bit slower, but I use it mostly for free sailing and not racing. I have been using it in the 12 to 22 knot range with my 8.4, 7.6 and 6.6.

Dont want a fin thats a bit slower, want a faster one! I really like the goldwing, but it's nog available in sizes bigger than 42 ...

@nonopr: is the canfire a carbon fin ??

Kvda: You can order them in Carbon or G-10. I recommend the G-10 are user friendly and fast

I have been using the Debiochet's with much sucess. All of the pro's use them, even people that are sponsored by other companies still use them. I have been using the Sl4 42 in the 111. Hope this helps.

I could lay my hands on two meanline slalom fins, a 42 and 48. The 42 worked great with RS4 7.8, I'm planning to use the 48 with RS Slalom 8.4 in light wind.

48cm is too big for a 8.4m2 sail. I will use a 44cm.

8.4m², i use Tomcat 42 when well powered ( 31.86 on a light 20 knots gust ) and i am looking for a Select Ghost 45 ( not to expensive ) for light wind.
- Tomcat isn't slower than the Drake and it's range is biger than SL2 ( full speed or spinout, only for the bests ).
