I have read all kinds of positions in footstarps for 2008 iSonic 101... So which one in the best and fastest.
I figure it would be all the way back on the back foot and middle set up in the front foot. Let me know. |

Hi Nonopro,
lighter you are further back you fix the straps. Start in the middle I would suggest. I am light, around 82 - 83 kg and use far back and outside. Chris

I have all the straps outside and al the way back.
What about the fastest track position, till now I use it at the maximum in the back, about 4 cm back from the recommended position. Wich fins are the best / fastest with 6.7 / 7.2 (till now I use 38 Tectonic Goldwing as smalest fin, 36 seems to be to small) Please your advise Sieger |

Hi Sieger,
I recommend 38 cm Vector Canfire. But there are many more great opportunities (Deboichet, MFC, Tectonics), I guess. If you should have a powerful fin, a 36 should be fine, too. But you can use bigger sized fins, too, up to 42 with bigger sized sails up to 7,8. But I would go with both sizes with a 38 cm one. Chris

Hi Nonopro
I know that my setting on the 08 Isonic 101 was all the way back on the back foot straps, and in the middle for the front straps. Just for a reference, I checked my new 09 Isonic 101 settings, and they are the same. I could maybe have the back foot strap position in the middle position, as the 09 board fells a touch more "free" on the water. On both boards (08 and 09) I used 38 Vector fins Canefire G-10 for all sail sizes (7.7, 6.7, 6.1) and it worked for all sails. My track position was (from the mid position), 3-4cm back in the track. |

I use the same foot strap positions. Mast track in the middle. Boom height - 55" Sail - NP RS slalom MKII 7.2 Fin - 36 cm stock fin. (too soft) Harness lines - 32" The set up for my IS 86, 101, 145 are all the same. (foot straps, mast track, boom height). Set up was a bit different when I was using the older RS Slalom MK I. Hi to all,
Since we are talking about Isonic 101 '08 I would like to ask something, my Isonic 101 '08 for the back foot straps has only 2 positions not 3 (front, middle, back) like the front foot straps, is it normal or not ? B/Rs Superidis |

Superidis, might it be so that the holes are there but under the pads (ie someone in the factory forgot to make the whole in the pads)? Try to find an adjacent hole with a needle or something.
