formula one design-sail

hi,I have a futura 155 wood and rsslalomMKII 10M on a lake with 8-14 knots.I wonder,can I use a bigger sail (formula one design) for early planing???

My opinion, get a used Formula board with less money,keep your 10m2 sail and later Iam very sure about it, you will buy that one design 11m2 sail and for sure it will work on that Formula with fantastic results in 8-14k. wind range.

How much do you weigh?

I think gre-969 makes good points. Also, moving up to an 11.0 from a 10.0 on the 155 isn't going to make much difference in earlier planing. Maybe a knot or two at best.

For me on my Formula 160, the difference between my 9.2 and 11.0 sails when it comes to pumping up on plane is about about 8 knots on the 11.0 and 9-10 knots on the 9.2.
I weight 79kg.

I am 93 kg and 1,92.the FOD works with futura?The cost(1150 euro)?Is a good choise or a bad mach?

Sorry, but I am not the best person to ask if the FOD 11.0 works well with the Futura. It will work and with your weight you will need a big sail, but I can't say if it will be well balanced or not.

Someone from the "team" will have to answer your question.

Hi Nikos,

The 11m² FOD is to big for the Futura 155. If you want to plane earlier with that big sail better to have a Formula. Formula F160 Tufskin is really cheap and work very weel with it.
