Default North Platinum booms

Anyone with experience from 2008 North Platinum booms (length 180 -230)?
Any difference between 2007 and 2008 model?
Allmost all North PWA racers seem to prefer (and use!) NeilPryde X9.
Thanks in advance

Not really, Many use the 190-240 MauiSail Carbon Boom. More than what you think.

Yup I know MS is the best, X9 Second best:-)! Peter Volwater (and Im sure a bunch of others) on MS boom when sponsored by North and BD, CM, PD often used X9. But what Im really looking for is if anyone has some insights about the performance of North Platinum.

Approx 3 months ago Patrick D. tested and liked a lot a new curve and weigth of slalom size Platinum booms. I cant find that text, but he was talking about more comfortable ride and better speed.
