Default about the 2010 Kode 68

hi guys,
I bought a 2010's Kode 68 (wood carbon) recently. The back footstrap is realy has double-screw on both ends as your 2010's Kode specification. However, the two gaps between double-screw holes of both ends for back footstarp are different. That is, the back end of back footstrap can not be fixed on the central line of board with double screws due to the larger gap of double-screw hole on board than footstarp's.
The 2010's specification and feature didn't show this feature as what I saw. I didn't see any related explanation about this condition in the installation guide. Could any one of you please explain the reason why or how to install back footstrap to me? I delivered my quetion to your service and sales by "conatct us" in your website over 2 weeks, but no response to me so far. Please make sure of your website or staff operation functioning well. Thanks!
The S/N of the board I bought is "ST10KDWC6809050003" (11036202)for your reference. Please link to the photo for your reference. Thanks!
Your prompt response will be appreciated.

Hi Christopher,

The Kode 68 is designed to have an extremely thin tail and this mean that there isn't enough room for both the inserts and the finbox. If we increased the tail thickness, this would have affected the performance of the board so the solution was to offset the back holes.

The back strap needs to be fitted with only one screw on each end (so not double screws) and at an angle: using for example the left side on the front and the right side on the back, when lookng at the board from the deck. It will seem like a strange idea but once you've fitted the strap in this offset way and used it, it works just like a normal strap but still have the benefit of a super thin tail.

I hope this info will be of help to you. Cheers.

Default about 2010 Kode 68

Hi Tiesda,
Thanks for your kindly explanation, but I am still confused. My questiions are as below.
1. The back footstarp is supposed to be fit on the central line of the board with single screw on each end if there is no enought room for double screw on each end. The space on central line of board has the most room for insert and screw.
2. Why the specification of 2010 Kode 68 on your website didn't show the back footstrap shift? Your photo show 2010 Kode 68's back footstrap on right central line of board. Why?
3. The special feature of 2010's Kode on your website does highlight Kode 68 with double screw on back footstrap, not single screw on each end?

Thanks!
Best regard,

Why can't the two front screw holes just be further apart..?

Also on a related but different subject, why oh why does the 102 Kode (which has a sail range up to 7.5) use US Box fins??? That is mental. I would consider one to go alongside my K86 if it had Tuttle box (or preferably power box), but not with the US box. What was the logic behind this?

Oops, I meant the rear ones.

Or why not make a custom strap with wider base at the back.

Hi Christopher,

You're right about the 2010 Kode website. The graphic designers don't know the boards in detail well enough and with hundreds of boards to draw, this kind if things slip through. I'll have a chat with them and fix it up. The special features section too.

Cheers.

One thing to clear up here is:
There is no Kode 2010 yet in any website. You guys are talking about a 2009 Kode.
Thanks you.

Dear Tiesda,
Thanks!
Could you please guide me how to fix the back footstrape? What I mean is how many screw used at front end of back footstrap with single central screw hole or both side hole at the end of back footstrap? I can't see any guide attached in my 2010 Kode 68 or in your website. Please let know how to do.
Thanks!

Best Regard,
