L'epreuve d'Okipa se termine finalement difficilement avec le retour du vent pour le dernier jour. Les femmes n'ont pas pu courir et Iballa se voit titre Championne du Monde.
Notre Tonio national passe trois superbe tours pour finir fianlement a la 15 eme place. Mais le local Angulo remporte l'epreuve juste devant Polakow et Kevin Pritchard, ce qui permet a ce dernier d'empocher le titre de Champion du Monde Vagues 2006.
