Could you advise mast extensions for using on FW 10-12m sails.
Which maker extensions are most reliable and suitable for FW? Which mast base system : pin or cup ? I spend one hour in cold water after Technolimits aluminum mast extension breakage and dont want to repeat it again. Thanks, Arnas |

Hi Arnas,
Not sure where you are located, but if you can purchase from the USA, take a look at the new Streamlined "Redline" mast base extensions. Don't think you will break one of these! http://www.streamlined.us/baseextensions.htm |

Hi Arnas797,
Severne just put on the market ans extension that we test from long time, and this one is really strong and stiff, never bent. You have 3 big pulley, so no problems to trim your 10 to 12,5m. http://www.severnesails.com/products/se_mast.asp All the best

I use a simple aluminium mast extension from Neil Pryde. Even the 28 cm I use up to 26 cm for a 10.7 sail. No problems at all about bending the material and so on

Not a formula sailor, but a lot of slalom. I am using the same old Windsurfing Hawaii extensions since 1992. I just had to change the pulleys on two of them. Pity WSH seems to have disappeared...
