Hello boys,
I'm a long time shortboarder from Spain. But I've recently found the advantages of longboards, enjoying very much the sailing with an old AHD 380Race. You guys are supporting the raceboard revival with a great board. But I feel that two things are missing, and they could be easily achieved by your company: 1. A cheaper, more tough and durable version of the board. I think the board may have a great freeride market, look at the Kona One success, and it isnt a high tech full carbon board. 2. Some effort on the board promotion in your web page. I miss a good video of the 2010 board. Just wanted to share, I think a lot of people would agree with this. Thanks Remi for your suggestion, and I think the SUPer has to be a great board, more leaned to the waves.
Anyway I (and think a lot more people) would like to see a cheaper and more durable Phantom 380 as its probably the ultimate raceboard shape at this time. And some video showing how nice, fun, and fast the board is and its awesome windrange and versatility for freeride/racing/cruising would be very wellcomed. Thanks again, enjoy life, All the best too, Magnum http://ferrolwindsurfer.blogspot.com |

To make it durable it would be too heavy and then not fast.

I think we've all have had durable boards that were fast. Top speed isnt that affected by board weight, probably acceleration is the most affected thing.
Crashes during a crowded race are very usual, as well as the usual dings when carrying the board. I think that for all but those lucky brand sponsored sailors, a more durable board makes sense. We are not talking about changing the board, just offering a cheaper version. I've heard lots of people comment this at the Longboard Forum...check this: http://www.lbwindsurfing.com/opinion...-they-too-low/ Anyway this is just an opinion folks. Have fun.
