Strongest construction - Wood or WoodC ?

Yes, as title says, which contstruction is the strongest ?
We know that Technora might be a bit stronger than wood, but what about WoodCarbon - if you list them in order, where is it ?

I'm not sure technora in necessarily stronger that wood. Particularly the wood wave boards are really exceptionally strong. Everything can ding and break, but wood have that extra resiliency to hold up better. So for the wave boards, I think you can safely say wood is stronger that wood carbon. The latter works really well too though, I put mine through some heavy shit at the stone beaches where I sail where you often get you stuff washed up all the way on the rocky beach. No damage yet.

So I have confidence in both constructions, but if you are really worried about getting the strongest possible, get wood.

My guess about the bigger boards kode 86 and up, slalom boards etc) is that the difference might be smaller. Here the wood construction is already a lighter variant than in the smaller boards.

If you compare the constructions against hits from mast etc. Would there be any difference there or is it just luck if it doesn't break ?

I will say that wood will take a hit better as carbon is more rigid.

Ok. In that case these kind of hits should a Technora be the best option as it's a bit more "loose" ?! But there's no insurance for this either way right ? They aren't made for these kinds of impact even if they're stronger/have reinforcements right ?

They are all reinforced a lot in the nose area to protect when the mast hits. But the problem with these kinds of hits is that they can involve so much energy nothing will hold up, so as you say, there is no insurance.

Since wood is a bit flexier, I think you should hold up a bit better also for this kind of impact. Wood vs Technora: In fact wood feels more dynamic and that could very well help take the edge off a hard impact too.

Correct me if i'm wrong but in 2009 Flare wood carbon there is no additional reinforcemets in the nose of the board?
My friend and i have damaged our boards and when we repaired them we where amazed how thin the fibre layer was.

from my experience with JP boards - carbon much better keeps hits! Also to repair carbon easier.

I have a kode wood 102.
When I start to go fast and previously to insert my feets into the straps, I hear something like a wood crackle.
This sounds happens only when I change the sailing side / direction.
The kode is in perfect conditions.
Did you heard about that before?
What I should I do?

I think it might be your fin making the noise.
I have a loose us box fin that makes cracking noises when changing tacks.

Check if your fin is loose?
