I have a question what board is best for mostly bump and jump conditions sometimes onshore small waves but 95 % bump and jump. I have the option between evo 80 wood 2009 or quad 81 2010. Also wich board will take a 4.2 best regarding control?
(I do not have option for convertible but maybe this is best?) Thanks. |

Yeah, I figure a convertible would be the best. The Quad 81 shape has more B&J qualities as such, I would say. And the Quad 81 would be easier in 4.2 weather (in quad setup). And personally I would choose the quad also for B&J (even with no convertible option) but in the end it will be a bit individual. After all the Quad has a kind of special feel, and not the same positive fin drive as a single. But if you can bypass this feel thing, the quad setup offers better upwind and as early planing so my advice would still be the quad.
