hello:
here in Canada the spring season has started early the thing i have the most difficulty with is the Dakine winter gloves since i still fall in and always over-rig early in the season :=( i need em - maybe i wouldn`t fall in if i didn`t over-rig $%?&*( however, i have seen vids where people have the bottom of hand cut out that seems a logical solution are those gloves purchased like that ? and if not, what is best pattern to cut ? and how does one ensure it does NOT tear after ? thx for listening

They're bought like that. At least there are mittens that are made like that. I know Prolimit have a model like that - but for sure most brands have something similar.

Mittens are comfortable but not the warmest thing. A friend of mine uses standard gloves (e.g. for dishwashing) which do the job for a few sessions and are quite inexpensive. He ties a tape around to make them waterproof. Another friend uses kind of surgery gloves which have a more subtle touch but last only one session.

I've been using the same pair of open palmed neil pryde gloves for a number of years. If it's just a little cool I don't hook in the thumb or finger tips - keeping the top of the hand covered helps. The best thing is no arm tension issues with these gloves.

Agree with mike. I also use the same Neilpryde gloves and those work just fine.
