Hi,
I have two Phantom 320, one 2009, one 2010. I realized recently that both were absorbing water by the same way : the holes made in the deck to fix the daggerboard. I tested that this afternoon, filled all holes on the deck with water. After a moment, the footstraps insert holes still contained water, but the daggerboard holes were all empty. Also, salt traces appeared around certain of them. This quickly made my brand new 320 2010 completely unusable, as it reached 23 kilos. I put both boards to dry in my garage after un-mounting their daggerboards, and can just hope that their weight is going to come down ... Please signal this critical issue to Cobra for future models. I will try to apply more power to the daggerboard screws to limit water absorption. This is not normal, we should not encounter such an issue, please fix it. Hi ZedZdeD,
Please weight your board without anything and let me know the weight, thanks (No foot-straps, No Dagger-Board and Side Plate, No Fin, No Track Mast) Send me photos on Facebook of your problems, can't see how the board can get water from insert All the best

I let the two boards, deck upwards, the whole week in my garage on the roof of the trailer with board bags below
today I saw that there was a quantity of water below the 2010 on the boardbag at the middle of the board, it must have come out from the daggerboard well, I dont see exactly from where no more water out of the 2009 I have now put the boards on the roof of the trailer deck below, wait and see I will weight both boards this weekend |

Hello!
I wonder how the problem was resolved in the end, and what was the cause. Thanks! Yan |

Starboard kindly replaced the board
the origin of water absorption was not precisely identified the new board has no problem and works like a charm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgZO_wjfBUs |

Merci!

Amicalement

What was the weight of phantom 320 - 2009?
Mine weighs about 19kg with CB and foot straps. Is this what it should be? |
