Default maui starboard rentals info needed

who in maui rents a full range of starboard stuff?? I am going in april and looking around the net at rental places, but most seem to offer only a smattering of starboards, not even near a good range.

thanks jeff aka shredulato

Hawaiian Island I think is the only one. Across the street from KMart, next to the gas station. Saw a bunch of Acid rentals in there.

Kanaha Kai on the road to Kanaha also have some Starboard gear, much more personal service than H. Island. Pity there isn't something like the Neil Pryde centre for Starboard on Maui.

Default RE: starboard rentals

i rented from kanaha kai, they had a few combats one s type and some beginner stuff but nothing closer to a comprehensive lineup. I dint look around at other shops much.
i have an Evo 92 and would have liked to rent it while in maui as i am used to it and weight 195 lbs , until at least i get my sea legs.
A friend who rented from hawaiian island said they had some old tired evos and acids.
From what i have found out JP stuff is well represented at neil pryde and hawiian among other brands but not starboard.
i only ask as at cabarete, starboard had a good lineup at one rental place beachside.
thanks anywho

Not exactly what you were asking for but I have my wood Evo 92 for sale at Kanaha Kai. E-mail me if you want any info.

Default RE: maui bound

well its a done deal, april 8th for two weeks, with three non sailors.
I have to hope i can wear them out with activities in the morning so i can get out at 1200 to 100 pm or so to kanaha .....
Hmmm get them to run baby beach to baldwin, in the morning .
I definalty have to do a few full dayers, so there will be no sailing those days , as two others have never been to maui. Like the hana trip ( yup touristy i know) , backside of maui always a great thing to do IMHO, as its so deserted and empty. Makana beach and kihei and the lahaina stuff.... .
still dont know where i will rent probably kanaha kai, as they were reasonable but i would really like to get on a few starboards, maybe the 2008 photo shoot will bring a fee extras in.
I see they have mistrals ( yawn) dont like the syncros.
The tabous are tiny for me as i am a flatwater freshwater sailor and not used to sinking much in lake superior as it can kill you fast if you cant sclog back...
