Check out the Hot Sails Maui Supermodel boom. Dont know the angle, but its narrow like hell.

Rob,

Are you talking about the Z-boom where a short part of the boom have a tube angled at 45 degrees mainly for the front hand ? Althought popular in the 80s, this is now made by a company based in Western Australia :
