hey scotty, i just tried the evo 80 2007 model in s. africa. It was pretty light on the face but compared to my old trad board it felt unreal. Aerials were there for the taking, something i have struggled with in the past. Also seemed totally fine for cutbacks.
Is there any incidence you would recommend the acid over the evo.. like i say, i only tried it in lightish wind and pure cross shore. Does it get a handfull in windy cross off? |

Howdy
Yeah, maxing margaret river in windy cross off I go the acid 80 where I have to contain speed. Hookipa as well I've sometimes opted for it. But as soon as I need to generate speed out of a bottom turn or to come up more vertiocally I'm straight back onto the evo. The 07 evo 80 definitely handles high wind side off stuff better than it's predescessor though. Would be a great board for Ireland I reckon. Laterz Scott |
